About Acupuncture In Solihull

Who am I?

I qualified as an acupuncturist in August 1995 from the College of Traditional Acupuncture in Leamington, Warwickshire. I had been a British Wheel of Yoga teacher since 1984 and developing my healing skills as an acupuncturist was a natural progression for me.

Treatment to restore health & well-being on all levels

British Acupuncture Council

I also completed a year-long course in Energy Field Therapy in March 1999 with Mark Caldwell and further training in energy work with Csongor Daniel and David Hoffman. My interest in both Yoga, meditation and Qi Gong continues(including a recent course with Daverick Leggitt: Qi Gong for practitioners), and enables me to teach breathing and relaxation skills to my patients as well as helpful yoga postures where necessary.

It is also a requirement to keep first aid certificates up to date and maintain an adequate level of proficiency.
I have also been able to attend several conferences on BioEnergetic Medicine, which looks at the science behind what we do as acupuncturists and have been privileged to listen to keynote speakers such as James Oschman and Robert Bray.

On a personal level, I continue to develop my yoga practice, meditation. Qi Gong and healing skills.

I have been a member of the British Acupuncture Council (B.Ac.C) since I qualified as an acupuncturist in 1995. Membership guarantees that codes of conduct, practice and hygiene are in place, which must be strictly followed. My premises have also been inspected by the Solihull Council Environmental Health team and my clinic at 31 Overslade Road, Solihull, B91 3NA is registered for the practice of acupuncture.

My Treatment Philosophy

Good health is dependant on a commitment to look after yourself and maintain a sensible balance between work, rest and play. This means eating a healthy diet, maintaining good hydration, taking appropriate exercise and getting sufficient sleep. There are things that cannot be changed easily – such as genetic makeup, work or living conditions. Often the stresses in life mean that we struggle to keep ourselves healthy – even when we are doing all the things under our control to look after ourselves.

Acupuncture is a good way to restore this balance in our favour. Five element acupuncture helps to put you back in touch with who you really are, it is a path of self-discovery and wellness. When you know who you are and what you truly want from life then it is possible to find health and contentment and a way to lead life that reflects your innermost being.

Five element acupuncture works at very deep levels to put you in touch with these core issues so that you can walk the path of your true destiny.
