Classical Five Element Acupuncture Solihull

Classical Five Element Acupuncturist

Classical Five Element Acupuncture developed over 2000 years ago in China, from where it spread into many other far eastern countries and more recently into the West. Throughout the centuries it has been used to help maintain the health and well-being of millions of people around the world.

The clinical practice of this form of Acupuncture has been passed down from Master to Student through classical texts and practice. This forms an amazing body of ancient knowledge about the human being in health and sickness

Throughout the ages, different masters of acupuncture developed their own styles and schools and traditions of treatment. They added their own ideas and knowledge and developed their own techniques. Pioneers such as Jacques Lavier and J.R. Worsley brought this tradition into Europe in the 1960s, founding colleges such as the College of Traditional Acupuncture in Hatton. I trained at the college while it was still in Leamington and while Jack Worsley was still lecturing!.

Acupuncture in Solihull

At the core of Classic Five Element Acupuncture, thinking is the belief that many physical ailments are the product of emotional distress as much as the physical cause.

How it works

In treatment we try to isolate the cause of dis-ease and then to support the physical systems in such a way that the body can begin to repair itself. Treatment works not only on a physical but emotional and spiritual level so that the aim of the practitioner is to allow the patient to discover a greater sense of self, to find the inner strength to make the changes in life that are needed to live a full and fulfilling life.

According to Chinese philosophy all things in the universe manifest as the five elements: Water, Wood, Fire, Earth and Metal.

5 Elements

  • Five seasons
  • Five distinct emotions
  • Five pairs of organs
  • Five emotional strengths and weaknesses
  • Diagnosis involves the identification of your constitutional and emotional make-up, weaknesses and strengths.
